4th Grade Mini field trip to Hartford. We learned about the water cycle and adaptation of bird beaks. They even tried eating the way birds do too!

This shed was built by the Ag Structures class this semester. We are accepting bids starting at material cost of $4,300. Anyone wanting to bid can turn their sealed bid along with their contact at the FFA banquet Thursday night, or to the business office by noon on Monday the 13th. We can contact the winning bidder Monday after school. The building will be finished by June 1.
Half of anything over and above materials go to FFA, half will go for needed shop equipment. It is 10’x12’ and has a 6’ door. Constructed with double wall, 16” on center studs. More and more readers are meeting their goals! First graders Joseph, Brexley, Kaydence, Elizabeth, and Ryhette have met their goals and enjoyed some pizza with the principal today!

The 1st grade class went to the Wahpeton Zoo where they got to pet a snake and a ferret! They loved exploring around and didn’t want to leave 🐯🐻🐵
Wilmot golfers bringing home some metal today! Drew got fourth place with a score of 46 and Rhyanna ended her day with a 58 for fifth place!

The ECC 4-6 grade Track & Field Day scheduled for tomorrow is now cancelled due to impending rain and an already saturated field.
4th-6th graders will be participating in the elementary field day on May 13th, starting at 9am.

Golf:
All, due to casual water on the course, today's JV golf meet has been postponed; we are looking into the possibility of rescheduling it on Friday, May 3. With more rain in the forecast tomorrow, we are also going to postpone the varsity golf meet. We are looking to reschedule it on Wednesday, May 1. I will be in touch when we have these reschedule dates confirmed.

Due to the weather, the Valley Queen Cheese Invitational is canceled. Next Year's Date is Tuesday, May 6
Great news! Wyatt TeKrony placed 2nd in his division at the 2024 South Dakota Junior Duck Stamp Competition with his painting of a Canada goose. The Jr. Duck Stamp is an art and science competition for anyone from kindergarten to 12th grade where they can choose from a list of American waterfowl to paint and have the chance to be on the Jr. Duck Stamp. Wyatt and his family attended an awards ceremony in Brookings, SD. Congratulations, Wyatt!
