Good morning,
Another reminder on Driver's Ed Forms! The forms and payment are due by the end of this week, Friday, February 9th.
Dear parents of prospective Driver's Ed. Students,
If your child will have reached the age of 14 by May 1st, 2024, they will be able to take Driver's Ed from Wilmot if they choose to do so.
Mr. Cal Nygaard of Aberdeen will teach the class. This is a total of 30 hours which is the requirement. Mr. Nygaard will set the driving times during class meetings. Each student needs 6 hours of actual drive time. Driving times will be scheduled when the classroom instruction begins. Class dates are on the back side of this letter.
Wilmot School charges $175 for Wilmot school students and $325 for out of district students. Students must register before Friday, February 9th. Students must pay before the first class. Checks should be payable to the Wilmot School. The class will be a pass/fail course not taken for credit. Forms were handed out to interested students in November. If this form has been lost, please have your child pick up a form in the high school office or stop by the school.
Sincerely,
Grant Hanson, PK-8 Principal & AD

We apologize for the calls on attendance this morning! Infinite Campus is down, so our attendance message is calling everyone who doesn't have an attendance mark down... So sorry for this inconvenience, we wish we could fix it!
Wilmot staff, students, and families thank Travis, Renee, Mason and Ashton Moran, owners of Shady Beach, for making a generous donation to our school. This donation will be used to purchase seconds cards for our students eating Wilmot School Lunches and to purchase supplies for the Wilmot School Daycare. The Moran family is grateful for the continued community support and patron participation in the weekly raffle which allows Shady Beach to give back to local projects. Thank you again to the Moran family and Shady Beach for supporting our school!
Our staff was extremely fortunate to have the opportunity to learn from former SDSU Football Coach John Stiegelmeier this morning during our development day! Coach Stig shared his "MAD" Philosphy (Make a Difference) and life lessons he calls "postulates."
